Privacy Policy

How Rolantir handles your data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can get it back or remove it.

Last updated August 12, 2026.

Who We Are

Rolantir is an independent analytics site for public Roblox data. It lets you search and filter the tracked catalog, chart a game's history, compare games, follow genres and creators, keep watchlists, set alerts, and ask an AI assistant about what you are looking at.

This policy covers the Rolantir website and the API that serves it. It does not cover Roblox itself, or any other site we link to.

What We Collect

Rolantir works without an account, and most of what you do stays in your browser. What we do collect is limited to the following:

  • Account details, if you sign in. Depending on the method you pick, that is your Roblox user id, username and avatar image; or your Google account email, name and profile picture; or the email address and password you register with.
  • Content you save: pinned and recently viewed games, saved views, saved comparisons, watchlists and alert rules.
  • Assistant conversations: the messages you send, any images you attach, and the replies you get back.
  • Product analytics: which pages you open and which features you use, tied to an analytics identifier and, when you are signed in, to your account id.
  • Technical data needed to answer a request, such as your IP address and browser user agent. Your IP address is used in memory to apply rate limits and is not written to a database.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect payment details, because Rolantir is free. We run no advertising and no third party ad or tracking pixels, we do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and we do not buy data about you.

We never ask for your Roblox password, your .ROBLOSECURITY cookie, or any other Roblox session token, and you should never hand those to any site that asks, including one claiming to be us.

Signing In With Roblox

Rolantir supports Roblox's official OAuth sign-in. You approve the connection on Roblox's own site, and Roblox sends us only your account id, username and avatar image.

The access token Roblox issues is used once, at sign-in, to read that basic profile, and is then discarded. It gives Rolantir no ability to act inside your Roblox account, join experiences, spend Robux or change anything on Roblox.

You can revoke Rolantir's access at any time from your Roblox account settings, and you can sign in with Google or an email address instead.

Where Your Saved Data Lives

Signed out, what you save stays in your browser's local storage on that device and is not sent to us. That covers your pinned and recent games, saved views, saved comparisons, assistant conversations and theme choice.

Signed in, that same content is stored with your account in Google Firestore so it syncs across your devices. Server side rules allow an account to read and write only its own records. Watchlists and alerts need an account, because they live on our side.

Cookies And Similar Storage

Rolantir uses no cookies for advertising and none for cross site tracking. The storage it does use is:

  • Local storage in your browser, for your saved content, your theme choice and your analytics preference.
  • Firebase Authentication's record of your signed-in session, kept in browser storage rather than in a cookie we set.
  • Three short lived cookies during Roblox sign-in only: a state value, a PKCE verifier, and the page to return you to. A one time sign-in token cookie is also set, expires after two minutes, and is not readable by scripts on the page. All of them are cleared once sign-in finishes.
  • Identifiers set by Google Analytics for Firebase, when analytics is active. See below.

Analytics And Your Choice

We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Performance Monitoring to see which features get used and to catch slow or broken pages. Events come from a fixed list, such as a page view, a search, opening a game, creating a watchlist or sending an assistant message. Search terms are included in the search event, so please keep personal information out of the search box.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, Rolantir loads no analytics and no performance monitoring at all: no events, no identifiers, nothing. Browser level content blockers have the same effect. Nothing on the site stops working if you block it.

Who Processes Data For Us

Rolantir is a small independent project. A few providers process data on our behalf so the site can run:

  • Google Firebase, for authentication, saved account content, analytics and performance monitoring.
  • OpenAI, which receives your assistant messages, any images you attach, and the Roblox data context needed to answer, and returns the reply. Where an account has web search enabled, the assistant may also send a search query on your behalf.
  • Roblox, which is the source of the public game data and the thumbnails shown on the site, and which provides the OAuth sign-in described above.
  • Our hosting provider, which runs the servers that serve the site.

When We Would Disclose Data

Beyond the providers above, we would share data only where the law requires it, where it is needed to investigate abuse or protect the site and the people using it, or with your instruction.

If Rolantir ever changes hands, your data would move with the service, and this policy would continue to apply to it until you are told otherwise.

Assistant Conversations

Conversations are stored the same way as the rest of your saved content: locally when you are signed out, with your account when you are signed in, so you can pick them back up. Deleting a conversation in the app removes it from that storage.

Please do not put sensitive personal information into the assistant. Its answers can be wrong or out of date, so check anything that matters before acting on it.

Sharing A Watchlist

A watchlist is private to your account until you turn sharing on. Once you do, anyone holding the link can view it, so treat the link itself as the key. Turning sharing off stops the link working. Watchlists cannot be listed, browsed or discovered by anyone else.

Public Roblox Data

The game, creator and group information on Rolantir is public data from the Roblox platform, gathered through Roblox's public interfaces. It belongs to Roblox Corporation and to the creators of those experiences.

If you are a Roblox creator and want to talk about how your public data appears here, contact us at support@rolantir.app. We act on reasonable requests, and on any request from Roblox Corporation.

Keeping It And Deleting It

Saved content stays until you delete it or delete your account. Anything held only in your browser goes when you clear that browser's storage.

You can delete your account from account settings in the app. That permanently removes your stored account content, including conversations, pins, recents, saved views and saved comparisons, along with the sign-in record itself, and it cannot be undone. Delete any watchlists you no longer want first, since a shared link keeps working until the watchlist is deleted.

Analytics records held by Google are kept under Google's own retention settings and are not tied to your name.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the data we hold about you, to object to some processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Most of it you can do yourself in the app. For anything else, email support@rolantir.app and we will deal with it.

Security

Accounts run on Firebase Authentication. Saved content is guarded by server side rules that let an account touch only its own records. The Roblox sign-in flow uses PKCE, and the token it produces is handed over in a cookie scripts on the page cannot read.

No service can promise perfect security, but we treat it as a first order concern rather than an afterthought.

Where Data Is Processed

Our providers, including Google and OpenAI, may process and store data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Using Rolantir means accepting that your data may be handled in those locations, under the safeguards those providers apply.

Children

Rolantir is a tool for people who follow the Roblox platform: creators, developers and analysts. It is not directed at young children, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

If you believe someone under 13 has created an account, email support@rolantir.app and we will remove it.

Changes To This Policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Where a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will make that clear in the app. Continuing to use Rolantir after an update means the new version applies to you.
